I came to China in 2005 to marry my chinese boyfriend after 5 years of dating. I am living here for almost 8 years. The problem of marrying a chinese citizen is there is no spouse visa and it is not easy to get a permanent residence card. I renew my visa every year. It is a visiting relatives visa. At the police station, I am registered as guest in my husband's home. When my son and I travel to another country, I should have return ticket to my home country. I want to work, I should have working visa. When you marry a chinese citizen, you should accept this situation in China or better go back to your home country and live there.
