What about us black people? Man, I've probably been called so many random things. 大嘴巴 (big mouth/ lips) really gets to me. But I've actually been told by some girls that it's a compliment. Well I'm not sure. 黑人(black person) I can accept depending on who says it. Children are excusable. And the Chinese word for African is 非洲人 . That 非 apparently has one meaning of 'scarred, torched, burnt' or something like that but it sure is a negative word. I find many of these words insulting but I've come to understand that it doesn't really carry the whole insulting force with it when spoken in modern days. Well, I just have to live with it anyway.
